Lexus Philippines is introducing a new variant to its popular midsize luxury sedan. Called the Lexus ES 300h Luxury, this variant combines some of the features of the top trim ES 350 Premier along with the 2.5-liter hybrid electric drivetrain of the base ES 300h Executive.
As a recap, the Lexus ES received a mid-cycle facelift for the 2022 model year. The updates include a redesigned grille with an L-shaped pattern, new tri-beam LED headlights and a set of new alloy wheel designs. In the case of the ES 300h Luxury, it gets a new 18-inch wheel design that’s unique to this variant. The GA-K platform of the ES has also been improved by adding a new rear suspension member brace for improved torsional rigidity, ride comfort, and handling. A new braking system with an enlarged pedal provides a more linear feel. This is all in line with the Lexus Driving Signature–a development philosophy that was introduced in the IS sports sedan.
Moving inside, the Lexus ES 300h Luxury gets the ES 350 Premier’s 12.3-inch version of the Lexus Remote Touch infotainment system, which comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other interior features include a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, 8-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, and a hands-free powered trunk lid.
As mentioned the ES 300h Luxury comes with a 2.5-liter hybrid electric powertrain that has a total system output of 215 hp. This is then mated to an e-CVT, driving the front wheels.
The Lexus ES 300h Luxury also comes with the Lexus Safety System+ suite of advanced driver-assistance tech, which includes the Pre-Collision System (PCS); Adaptive High Beam System (AHS); Automatic High Beam System (AHB); Lane Tracing Assist (LTA); Lane Departure Alert (LDA); and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC).
